Cyclops (サイクロプス, Saikuropusu) was a gargantuan Demon collected by Noah (Greed).[1]

Appearance[]

Rotund yet muscular in build, the gargantuan Cyclops entirely dwarfs the physical proportions of the conventional human being in both height and girth, while still retaining a vaguely humanoid form. He has greatly simplified and rounded facial features, with the only indication of hair being the presence of a substantial beard upon the lower portion of his face, which culminates in two extensive sideburns which approach his 'nose'. However, by far his most distinctive characteristic is the prominent singular eye, encompassed by an unusual circular marking with a linear projection descending downwards, representing its nose. Similar decorations to this unusual feature adorn the remainder of its body and his solitary item of clothing, a pair of dark tattered trousers.[1]

Synopsis[]

Salvage arc[]

During a heated confrontation against a determined and dangerous pairing of Black☆Star and Death the Kid, Noah summoned the enormous form that is the Cyclops, which immediately attempted to utilize its superior bulk and girth to crush the unsuspecting youngsters beneath it. Unfortunately, due to Black☆Star's swift intervention, Kid narrowly avoids the abundant mound of flesh. However; the Cyclops is evidently surprised when through Madness Takehold, Black☆Star manages to raise the entirety of its massive weight atop a single clenched fist, before using the recovering creature's neck as a platform in order to initiate his Shadow☆Star Zeroth Form: "Masamune" Initiation Technique - Infinity. Now pierced by a significant quantity of various blades through its back, the Cyclops is rendered helpless as these sharp implements completely bifurcates the gargantuan monster into multiple distinct pieces, concluding its very life.[1]

Trivia[]

  • The character of the Cyclops is in fact derived from the creatures of the same name that often appear within actual Greek mythology, where these cyclopes were a member of a primordial race of giants, each with a single eye in the middle of its forehead. Also, the name "Cyclops" is widely thought to mean "circle-eyed", befitting Ōkubo's literal representation of this particular characteristic.
