The reaper cloak (死神装束, Shinigami Shōzoku) refers to the cloak in which both Death and Death the Kid sports, the latter sporting a non-powered copy for official missions.[1][2] Later after Death's demise, Kid would later inherit his father's outfit.[3]
Description[]
The cloak typically appears as dark and jagged with a hood, a large zig-zag line protruding from it on top. Additionally, the cloak is also paired with a mask, appears as a comical skull with three simple holes through it.[4][2] Formerly, the outfit's style sported a more menacing skull mask with rounded edges compared to his current as well as them being mended together and not pointed downwards. The cloak itself also possessed more jagged edges.[5]
Special Abilities[]
- Shape-shifting: The outfit bore by Death formerly was unique in it's ability to obscure a wearer's entire figure, also adapting to different shapes and sizes while in use. When used by Death, it's nature can have more jagged and monstrous lines to look more intimidating or more straight and smoother ones. The cloak was capable of covering Death from head to toe while in Kid's case, the cloak went up not too far down from his hips.[2]
- Self repiration: The cloak can also self repair.[6]

- Despite it's asymmetical appearance, Kid states that he likes the outfit.[7]
- The official name for the style of clothing did not originate from the manga; it originated from Soul Eater: Monotone Princess.
