Magic weapons (魔武器, Mabuki), sometimes referred to as simply weapons (武器, Buki), are human beings capable of transforming into a weapon.

History

Between 1201-1300, the magic weapon race came into fruition from the result of Arachne Gorgon's research, where she combined the souls of human beings with that of a weapon alongside a witch soul (which granted them transformative abilities) by sacrificing her own kind. Among the very first weapons she created were the ancestors of the Nakatsukasa family.As a result of this affront, she was chased by both the Grim Reaper and her fellow witches. Turning to her younger sister for assistance among, she was later betrayed by Medusa and trapped in a battle with Death in Loew Village and was critically injured as a result. In order to fake her death, she split her body and soul into many pieces and some of it into the Oldest Golem.

Special Abilities

Common abilities

• Weapon Mode (武器モード, Buki Mōdo): The special ability in which allows a magic weapon to transform between both human and weapon form at will.
• Wavelength Control (波長コントロール, Hachō Kontorōru): A special ability in which allows a weapon to control the wavelength of their meister.

Special techniques

• Soul Resonance (魂の共鳴, Tamashī no Kyōmei): A special technique in which the weapon amplifies the wavelength received by a meister, sends it back, and repeats it until it creates a more powerful wavelength to initiate a special attack.
• Soul Possession (魂憑依, Tamashī Hyōi): A famed technique used by members of the Nakatsukasa family (notably those who inherit the Enchanted Sword), soul possession allows for the weapon to possess their meister.
