Manga and Anime Differences

  • In Chapter 57; Black Star wins the battle against Mifune by killing him; but in this episode he only badly wounds him. Black Star then spares his life and asks him to keep Tsubaki's suggestion to become a teacher at Shibusen. Mifune accepts the offer and with Black Star and Tsubaki's help Mifune to enter into Baba Yaga's castle to rescue Angela.
    • During the battle in the manga, Black Star chooses the Path Of The Warrior; however in the anime Black Star rejects both the paths of warrior and the demon and chooses his own path.
    • The Red Uncanny Sword is only used in the anime.
  • Baba Yaga's castle in the manga doesn't move because it's a stationary building, not a moving battle mobile with spider legs.
    • Death City doesn't conform with Brew into a walking robot during the fight with Arachnophobia in the manga.
    • Asura is never captured by Shibusen in the manga, verses the episode's ending.
    • In the ending of this episode, Asura is eaten by the Death City Mech. While in the manga, it is Ragnarok who eats him.
