Eruka Frog (エルカ・フロッグ, Eruka Furoggu) is a Witch of the Witch Order who was coerced into working alongside Medusa Gorgon and her faction after attempting to hinder her plans involving her infiltration of Death Weapon Meister Academy.

Personality

Like many other Witches, Eruka craves destruction and enjoys the fact that she was born magical.

However, she is extremely cowardly, preferring to flee rather than fight, and never hesitates to beg for mercy when cowed. Despite her malicious intent, Eruka has an earnest disposition with other Witches, including the Mizune Family, with whom she is close friends. She can be demeaning to those whom she considers inferior, though.

Unlike more powerful and malign witches like Medusa, Eruka is not so cold and heartless, on several occasions showing regret and consideration for others. She expresses guilt about lying to the Mizune family, and tries to reassure Crona when they are asked to spy on Dr. Franken Stein.

Appearance

Befitting her typically passive nature, Eruka remains a woman of rather modest build with long, straight, silvery hair and a narrow mouth, accentuated by a prominent black circle at each end, resembling the air sacs on a frog's mouth. Her usual attire consists of a thigh length black dress with a white polka dot pattern over what appears to be a dark gray blouse, black pants and knee-high white boots. Arguably the most obtrusive characteristic of her appearance is her distinctive orange hat with a frog-like face, which further reflects her amphibian theme. The hat occasionally mimics her facial expressions.

Special Abilities

Magic (魔法, Mahō): As a witch, Eruka is capable of manipulating and performing Magic.

• Tadpole Bomb (オタマジャクシ爆弾, Otamajakushi Bakuda): This magic allows its user to create tadpole-like creatures that explode either after being sent to hop after the enemy, or being thrown forcefully. Being of Eruka's main usage, the level of power of the explosions created vary individually. However, some have been seen able damage even Black☆Star, damage steel carts of the Runaway Express,.
• Calculation Spells (演算魔法, Enzan Mahō): Eruka has the ability to proficiently cast Calculation Spells to act as placeholders for certain spells requiring precision.
• Soul Protect (ソウル•プロテクト, Souru Purotekuto): Eruka possess Magic that allows her to disguise her soul and wavelength from readings of a Witch from a user of Soul Perception, masking herself appear as a good, ordinary human being. However, she is unable to use any other Magic in it's duration.

• Soul Protect: Cancel (ソウル•プロテクト•解除, Souru Purotekuto Kaijo): A spell in which cancels the effect of Soul Protect, projecting her wavelength as that of a Witch and allows the use of Magic once more.

• Transformation Magic (変身魔法, Henshin Mahō): Eruka is skilled in Transformation Magic, allowing her to take the form of a frog. She can use this Magic to evade from danger.

Eruka's Staff: Eruka has been seen carrying a simple wooden staff that she used to block and stop Medusa as she was walking, although the full usage of the staff has yet to be explored, she may use it as a weapon.

Trivia

• The name "Eruka" (エルカ, Eruka) comes from reorganizing the order of the syllables in the Japanese word "kaeru" (カエル; Literally meaning "Frog"). Her friend Mizune shares this naming method.
