An evil person (悪人, akunin; also "evil people") is an individual whose soul harbors a significant level of true evil. They're typically added to Lord Death's list.[1]

As mention before, those under this classification contain a significant level of evil intent to the point their souls can be hunted. Unlike the souls of the innocent, consumption of it does not gain as much power nor does it risk turning one into a Kishin.[1] Ninety nine evil human souls are one of the two prerequisites to creating a death scythe.[2]
Although most personalities of an evil person reflect their dark nature, some are more more nuanced and complex, simultaneously possessing noble and positive traits that makes them open for redemption. (i.e Mifune and Masamune).[3]

- Although evil people exist within the anime of Soul Eater, all evil people instead have a kishin egg and can, thus, be seen as evil by users of any sort of soul-sensing abilities.
