Lord Death's mirror (死神さんの鏡, Shinigami-san no Kagami)[1] is the mysterious device in the Death Room in which Death often resides in literally and uses as a communication and surveillance medium.[2]
Appearance[]
The mirror simply appears as a tall, wooden mirror with a reflective, dark blue surface and a skull mask feature that matches Death's own on top of the wood.

This "mirror number" is used to communicate with Lord Death directly, via mirrors, windows, and other reflective surfaces. The user attempting contact will find a "mirror", breathe moisture over the surface, then write 42-42-564 "if you ever want to knock on Death's door"[1]
Trivia[]
- In Japanese hiragana, the number is spelled しにしにごろくし, and pronounced "shini-shini-goro(ku)shi". This is possibly a play on words, and could be interpreted as "a verse for Mr. Death" (死に氏に語録詩), "Death is Dying to deal Death" (死に死に殺し), or "dying- dying- death-time" (死に死に頃死), depending on the kanji used.
