The Monotone Princess arc is a video-game exclusive arc following the Soul Eater anime series. When a mysterious group causes mass disappearances around the world, Death Weapon Meister Academy works to uncover the mastermind behind the disappearance and their plans.
Timeline placement[]
Following the anime's storyline, the game's main questline and side story scenarios all take place between the events of the Experiment arc and the Black Dragon arc and after the fifteenth episode of the anime; dialogue from the game reveals that while Free was encountered by Maka, both himself and Crona are still being sought after by the DWMA. One other storyline within the game features Death the Kid making up the Super Written Exam. Six days pass in total within the entirety of the game.

Main story[]
- Paraponera Clan members Ponera and Grimoire emerges and attempts to destroy the world by using kishin cocoons to absorb human souls, create an army of kishins, and absorb their power. Eventually, Death Weapon Meister Academy uncovers their plot and eventually defeats both Ponera and Grimoire.
- During the events of the game, Medusa brings about suspicion of her true identity as a witch; she is suspected after Stein had taken Maka's medication given to her by Medusa to examine and Death the Kid is aware of his suspicion. Medusa is later in danger under her nurse guise and reveals to Stein and the team knowledge of the Paraponera Clan and it's leader, an act that make Stein even more suspicous.

- While Liz is on a date, Patty and Black☆Star decide to prank her by crashing it. It is later said by Black☆Star that he pretended to be Liz's son to fool Liz's date.
- After Medusa's make a off-handed comment about Soul's scar after a checkup, Maka becomes more worried about Soul's injury but finds herself unable to know the full details of what happened to him after their fight with Crona. Soul learns of this and begins questioning the teachers of the academy on who spoke of his scar in order to convince them to not make Maka worry. After speaking with Medusa and remedying the solution, Stein would do yet another examination. Although he tells them like Medusa's results, he is fine, he is frustrated about having to lie a second time about the black blood continuing to mix with Soul's body and how he needs solid evidence to link it to Medusa.
- Maka and Soul makes progress in their training started in the aftermath of their fight with Crona and around the time they encountered the Man with the Magic Eye. Due to their quick progress, it is revealed that Sid was a bit envious after witnessing their training results, in which his jealous feelings were amplified by the special candles in the Special Tutoring Rooms and caused him to act strange. After learning Maka took his strange behavior to heart due to a misunderstanding of words, Sid explains his reasons to Soul and his relationship with Maka is reconciled.
- Since the Thompson Sister becoming Death the Kid's weapon partners, they have regularly received gifts every once in a while from a mystery person due to their sympathetic background although the gifts have been becoming stranger. Sid then sends Maka and Soul to remind them of the gift to Liz and Patty. After a strange reaction from Patty, Maka and Soul go to Liz who reveals that while they liked the gifts at first, they later became very bizarre and they didn't want to accept them any longer. The mystery person revealed to be giving them gifts was Kid.
Trivia[]
- During one of the side quests, Black☆Star pranks Liz's date by pretended to be her son. He would later play the same prank in Episode 31.
