Question[]

If the first demon weapons were created by Arachne, then what about the Eight Powerful Warriors? Weren't the meisters' partners Weapons? -- ᴙeƨοŋɑŋᴄe

They either got their weapons sometime after or they were created after the Demon Weapons were created. I believe "The Eight Powerful Warriors" were made after the demon tools were created. ---Mr.Zeke

Both Arachne (who created the weapons), Ebion (who designed the method for creation) and the Eight Powerful Warriors were present within the series over 800 hundred years ago but we have no information yet about when the weapons were first created, when the group of warriors were formed or how old and how each specific individual ages. This means we have no concept of how the events played out, for all we know weapons could have been created well before this period. We also have no information prior to 800 years ago, so there may have been a time when Arachne was considered an ally and so they gained their weapons this way or Shinigami's contacts with Eibon may have lead to the gaining of a limited number of weapons. Even with all this we only know that Asura had a weapon close to this time, most members might not have had one at all, even Shinigami when hunting Arachne didn't have one present with him. At the moment we have too little information to really confirm anything. Blackstar1 02:43, 10 July 2009 (UTC)

Just Bugs me: Soul's grandmother is not a weapon.[]

Not according to the scanlation I read.

his grandmother he was a weapon and no mention of any other siblings or Soul's parents have been made. Unlike the article suggests. —This unsigned comment was made by 77.248.110.201 (talkcontribs) .

It seems to be a simple case of misinterpretation, with the false belief that the phrase states Soul's grandmother was a weapon rather than it's actual meaning, which appears to suggest that a weapon hasn't appeared in the family for so many generations it even surprised his grandmother. I've now made the appropriate edits to resolve this issue, so that the section of the article accurately represents the phrase displayed upon the linked page above. Becoming a Weapon[]

On the page, it says that if a modern human consumes an evil soul, they can become a Demon Weapon. I went through the manga recently, and I never came across that, so can someone tell me where that came from? Ryne 91 (talk) 15:10, July 31, 2013 (UTC)

Incorrect. People who turn into demon weapons are able to due so due to the "Weapon-Gene" that formed after the Demon Weapons were created by Arachne and (obviously) reporoduced, as they're still human. It depends on If you have the weapon-gene and it's active. If not, You cannot become a demon weapon. Jharis10 (talk) 23:03, August 4, 2013 (UTC)

Does any feel the need to have a "Dark Weapon" classification? It's a conjectural term and I'm trying to rid of the conjectural material here to make things more simple. It's criteria is partially made from inconsistent use of scanlation/anime, in which is a good cause for some of the confusion. I'm wanting to rid of it. JayAaerow (talk) 22:13, June 5, 2015 (UTC)
